Thoughts on Photobased entires?

I've had some... comments about the photobased entries to the club.  Photobased stuff isn't technically allowed by deviantart because the promo photography stuff technically belongs to the stargate photographers and the screenshots also belong to MGM and since da policy states you must have written permission to use another's work and since that's kinda hard to get from an entity such as MGM, they typically don't allow screenshots from TV shows or pictures one finds on the internet.  This comes from my own experience, I've had stuff removed, even stamps.  So, what are your thoughts?  I'm ok with allowing photomanips here since the users are at their own risk posting it, it doesn't really harm the club (tho some of the stamps that were carried over from our non-group days still belong to the group and since several are mine... I have no heartburn taking them down if that's what the group decides)... so what do you think?  allow photomanips?  allow photomanips as long as they are art (how do you define that)? thoughts??
